As Operations Coordinator for Children Now, Zach Martinez provides administrative and logistical support to the organization’s daily operations and infrastructure. They also assist the People and Finance teams with HR- and finance-related projects and tasks.
Zach came to Children Now with a wide array of experience in office administration and public education. Their journey first began during their undergraduate studies at San Diego State University (SDSU) when they worked, first, as a student worker in the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office at Grossmont Community College and later as a financial services assistant for SDSU’s auxiliary non-profit organization, Aztec Shops LTD. After graduation, Zach continued their work in public higher education providing administrative and student support services for SDSU’s Health Professions Advising Office as an advising assistant. In addition, they have taught English as a Foreign Language at the high school-level in Vratsa, Bulgaria as a U.S. Fulbright English Teaching Assistant and later as a Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program Assistant Language Teacher in Tokushima, Japan.
Zach earned their B.S. in Biology from San Diego State University (SDSU). They graduated magna cum laude and was a recipient of SDSU’s Vice Presidential Student Service Award.
