Webinar description: Thank you to The Children’s Movement (TCM) members who joined the second webinar in our TCM learning series, How the 2024-25 State Budget Impacts California’s Kids. During the webinar, Movement members learned about what the budget process is, how it impacts kids, and the important role that we as Movement members and child advocates play during that process. TCM Director, Emily Reece, provided a “big picture” view of the 2024-25 budget process, while Children Now policy experts Susanna Kniffen, Sara Bachez, and Nora Lynn shared a breakdown of how the budget impacts specific areas of child well-being, including child welfare/foster youth, health, education, and early childhood.
