Why is lifting youth voice important? Lifting youths voices are important because their voices are not respected or heard. Youth are younger, so adults think that their words hold no weight and they lack knowledge. However, youth are very smart in their own way, which adults could learn from. Furthermore, students from San Mateo High School, my school, often come from immigrant families with language barriers so cannot rely on their parents. That’s why it’s important to uplift youths voices so the world can hear their perspectives and gain their knowledge.
