Why is lifting youth voice important? Youth voice is what saved me from myself at 14 in a group home and feeling shut down and overwhelmed by all the requirements of us foster youth.  I saw no future in education for myself because I saw no future at all. I found my future when I was shown my own power in advocacy back then and have dedicated the last decade to creating change and creating opportunities for other young people to spark up and learn how to advocate for themselves and their diverse unique communities.
