Maya Kamath brings nearly 20 years of communications and development experience to her role as senior director, development and marketing communications at Children Now. She worked for the organization from 2018 – 2022, and returned to Children Now in 2024.
Most recently, Ms. Kamath served as the director of development at Richmond Promise, a community-wide college success initiative. Prior to joining Children Now in 2018, she worked as the communications and fund development coordinator at San Francisco Village, a membership organization that serves older adults.
Before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, Ms. Kamath spent more than a decade working in corporate communications – on the agency side and in-house – where her areas of expertise included public relations, content development, and event management.
She received a B.A. in mass communications, with a minor in political science, from UCLA.
