Nadia Kazempoor serves as the Special Assistant to the President of Children Now, Ted Lempert. In this role, she supports the executive functions of the organization by ensuring all scheduling and communication remain organized, professional, and constructive to Children Now’s mission. She is excited to deepen her knowledge and capabilities in the policy and child advocacy space, all while better understanding the form and function of high-performing non-profit organizations like Children Now.
Nadia is a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she received degrees in both Political Science and Middle Eastern Languages and Culture. While at Berkeley, she was a member of the Political Science Honors Cohort and Honors Society, the President of three on-campus organizations, a Legal Assistant at an estate planning law office, and a summer intern for the United States Department of Education. In the future, Nadia hopes to attend law school and work in education law or teach.
Nadia developed a passion for the non-profit space while working as the President of Berkeley Model United Nations, an educational non-profit dedicated to combating educational inequity through the channel of Model UN. She cares deeply about the welfare and integrity of children, especially as it relates to their right to education. She is excited to apply her knowledge and passion to the working mission at Children Now. Outside of work, Nadia enjoys yoga, baking, travel, spending time with her cat, and watching every TV show HBO has to offer.
