Why is lifting youth voice important? Lifting youth voices is important because 22.2% of the United States population is under 18. This means 22.2% of our population isn’t represented in our elections. Therefore, we must listen to our youth when making decisions, as our decisions impact 22.2% of the population, who can’t make a choice on their representatives.
