She has firsthand experience with emergency medical transportation, both locally and statewide, and values technology as a tool for coordinating care and tracking medical needs. With a background in education, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies from Stanislaus State University and a California teaching credential from Chapman University. After nine years as an elementary school teacher, she transitioned to full-time caregiving. Susan serves as a local representative on the Whole Child Model Family Advisory Committee, working with the Department of Health Care Services to improve systems of care. She has also received training in palliative care and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). Outside of advocacy, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.
