The strongest kids’ advocacy network in the country.
Who We Are
The Children’s Movement of California is an ever-growing community of diverse organizations and individuals from all industries and geographic regions across California. With the shared goal of improving the lives of kids, Movement members unite to ensure children are prioritized in policymaking.
We achieve this through strategic collective action campaigns that emphatically showcase the widespread support for kids across California and effectively push policymakers to listen to the needs of children and families.
More Than 10 Years of Major Victories for Kids
The Children’s Movement was created to solve a problem. There are more than 93,000 nonprofits in California focused on kids, plus thousands more businesses and organizations who care about kids. The Children’s Movement builds power for kids by bringing these diverse voices together to speak as one as we collectively demand specific, achievable policy solutions. With over a decade of organized power, kids’ needs are finally being heard and prioritized, leading to major victories for children. Together, Children’s Movement members have…

Campaigns that Create Change
The Children’s Movement shares critical advocacy opportunities (or “campaigns”) with our members, who show their support for kids by contacting their representatives or signing letters calling on policymakers to take bold actions that benefit children. Delivered to the Governor and other policymakers at strategic moments, these letters emphatically demonstrate the far-reaching and diverse support for the Movement’s policy demands and effectively drive state and local leaders to act.

Advocate for What Matters, Your Way
Becoming a member means publicly stating that you (or your organization) want kids to be prioritized in policymaking – plain and simple. Members can then choose which specific issues they want to fight for through our opt-in advocacy campaigns. Signing a letter campaign is easy – just add your organization’s name and we take it from there. We also make it simple to contact your representatives about the issues that matter most to you and your community.
